SISTERS
Some people in life don't have anyone they can look up to and I just feel very lucky that I have an older sibling who is always there for me and that I can always look up too. It’s also great to have a sibling that always loves you. I am so lucky to have my older sister SaraBeth. She may be ten years older than me but to me it feels like we are the same age. It's usually not normal for girls, even sisters, that are ten years apart to be hanging out because the older person just thinks oh, she's not cool, I'm not going to hang out with her. Sara is a lot different though, she does not care about my age, she just cares that it's me. Besides the rest of my family obviously, because I love them just as much, she is one of the best sisters that you could ever possibly ask for. She’s like not even a sister; she is more like my best friend. I love that whenever I have a problem I can just go to her for support and we talk about whatever comes to the mind because I feel uncomfortable talking to my mom about some of these things, but not all of them, which I think is normal for a kid my age. We talk about the funniest to the most serious and thoughtful things. An example of this would be when we just sit down and have conversations. We usually have conversations about what's happening and how everything is going in life right now. She really makes me a happy person and always brightens my day. She could do the smallest of things and just send me a smiley face over a text and it would just make me smile even if I was in a bad mood.
Sara and I are so close it’s not even funny. She will just call me or text me whenever she feels like and just ask to go to the mall with her or hang out and make cookies at her house. I love that we just hang out like we are best friends. We also have so much in common. We do talk about boys a lot and how my love life is which I think is pretty funny. We just literally have the most fun two sisters, or even two best friends could ever have. I honestly don't even think that we have ever gotten in serious fights or even the smallest fights at all. We had this talk once about me and my boyfriend. The two of us were having trouble and we got in a big fight so my sister talked to me to help me out. She made a mistake once so she was telling me what she would have done about and not what she did. After we talked for a little while I had felt so much better and I then knew what to do with the problem. She had helped me a lot that day. After we had the talk she had a conversation on the phone with my mom. My mom then told me what she had said. She said, "Sammy is one of the most respectful and careful girls I have ever known. She is very considerate, but I wish I could of been like her when I was a kid, I just never had the chance with the things I did." After I had heard that I started crying. I though it was very thoughtful of her and I just don't know what I would do without her. I love her so much.
So overall, Sara is a very caring sister and I love her. I think it's great to have an older sibling, a much older sibling, in your life that is always there for you and that you can look up too, and this I believe.
